Two traveling salesmen peddling novelty items wander through a series of darkly comic vignettes on their way to a shop called Party.

Tired of being a Preacher's daughter and longing to experience more of life, 20-something Angie King strikes out on her own for the very first time and joins a traveling gospel show. In this modern-day rendition of the fable of The Prodigal Son, she soon discovers life on the road is tough but fears going home with nothing to show for herself, or worse, to a father who no longer loves her.

Desperately in need of money in hopes of regaining custody of his daughter, James (Joel Smallbone) embarks on a cross-country delivery for cash—no questions asked. But when he discovers what he is delivering is actually who, the questions in his mind begin haunting him mercilessly. James becomes an unlikely hero and must fight to save the innocence and lives of the two young women. One of which he finds himself falling in love with.

At night and on weekends, four men in a suburban garage have built a cottage industry of error-checking devices. But, they know that there is something more. There is some idea, some mechanism, some accidental side effect that is standing between them and a pure leap of innovation. A dark fantasy about the two "Brothers Grimm" (Matt Damon, Heath Ledger) who travel around the Napoleonic countryside vanquishing fake monsters and demons in exchange for cash. When the French government figures out what they're up to, they force the brothers to deal with the real thing—a number of murders being committed under mysterious circumstances in the northern woods between Germany and France. It is there that they have to try and discover what's really happening and deal with it before more people are killed or their lack of success leads to the guillotine.

28-year-old Kansas University doctoral student Omar Razaghi, has won a grant to write a biography of Latin American writer Jules Gund. Omar must get through to three people who were close to Gund - his brother, widow, and younger mistress - so he can get authorization to write the biography.
