The Amazing Spider-Man was released in nationwide movie theaters on Tuesday, July 3, 2012.
Previously, those movies were in development with Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire. When Sony decided to reboot the franchise with a new cast, Movie Insider classified those movies as shutdown and created a new movie profile for The Amazing Spider-Man.
