Meryl Streep Movie Updates

Stanley Tucci and Meryl Streep, both great actors in their own right, seemed even stronger when they shared the screen in "The Devil Wears Prada" and "Julie & Julia." Now they could be teaming up again — this time with Tucci behind the camera.

Meryl Streep may soon become the British Prime Minister - well, at least on the big screen.

“Avon Man” – Allan Loeb turned in his rewrite and they’re trying to get Hugh Jackman to commit for an October start. Once that happens, they’ll go out o Anne Hathaway for the female lead.

The word from inside the remake, which stars Russell Brand as the title character, is that everyone is desperate for Meryl to take the role. As of two weeks ago I knew about this, but insiders said Streep hasn’t even been told of the offer. By now, presumably, she has.
