Aubrey Plaza and Elizabeth Olsen will star in dark comedy Ingrid Goes West.

Walt Disney Studios is developing a reboot of the 1991 action adventure movie, hiring Max Winkler and Matt Spicer to pen the script.

But insiders close to the film say that while Knoxville expressed some interest in the project, negotiations with 20th Century Fox never commenced and an offer to join the film was never made.

Paramount Pictures has acquired a new project and made forward progress on another that will star Johnny Knoxville, who has made the studio huge money with the Jackass films. Best of all for Knoxville, both comedies are scripted, which should spare his body at least some abuse.
