Plot – What's the story about?

Plot: When Papa Smurf (John Goodman) is mysteriously taken by evil wizards, Razamel and Gargamel, Smurfette (Rihanna) leads the Smurfs on a mission into the real world to save him. With the help of new friends, the Smurfs must discover what defines their destiny to save the universe.

Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies announced that Rihanna will star as Smurfette in Untitled Smurfs Animated Film. Appearing on stage at 2023 CineCon, Rihanna announced that she will also write and perform original music and serve as a producer for the film (4/29/2023).
This will be a musical and Puss in Boots director Chris Miller is on-board to direct the film (6/15/2022).
Nickelodeon has the global rights to The Smurfs, which follows Papa Smurf, Smurfette, Brainy, Hefty, Clumsy and other characters (2/10/2022).
