As histories of these institutions are uncovered, dedicated workers commit both day and night to caring for the remaining enclosed animals, fostering a mutual bond that transcends imagined boundaries between human and animal.

Kyle Turner, an Investigative Services Branch agent of the National Parks Service, is on the hunt for a killer, one who knows Yosemite National Park as well as he does; however, the dark secrets lurking in both Kyle and the park’s past may be just as dangerous as the murderer.
