Beleaguered Philip Davis is sent at his father's behest to place his eccentric grandmother, Estelle, into an assisted living facility. To add to his troubles, his small-time drug dealer sister Megan decides to join him, using the trip as a cover for a large marijuana buy. When Estelle discovers her grandson's plan, she furiously takes off for Seattle, unaware that her granddaughter's drug haul is stashed in the trunk of the car. The estranged siblings have no choice but to go on the road after their wayward grandmother, the taxidermied dog she keeps as a companion, and five pounds of marijuana.

Fresno is a comedy about co-dependent sisters who work as hotel maids in Fresno, CA. Shannon is fresh out of sex rehab when her younger, overly optimistic lesbian sister Martha lands her a job as a maid at Fresno Suites, the local hotel. When Shannon jeopardizes her fresh start by accidentally killing a hotel guest after a post-rehab relapse, Martha goes to great lengths to help her sister cover up the crime. Shannon finally learns to take responsibility for her actions, and the sisters begin to resolve their tortured relationship.

The original documentary was a behind-the-scenes look at the Bolivian presidential election of 2002, when candidate Gonzalo Sanchez de Lozada (aka Goni) hired James Carville's Washington-based political consulting firm Greenberg Quinlan Rosner to help him win. Goni's poll numbers were dismal, with Bolivians accusing him of being too closely aligned with U.S. interests. Employing the same tactics they do in the U.S., Carville -- who himself flew in -- and his team used focus groups, sloganeering and smear tactics. Goni won by a narrow margin, but the work had only just begun for Carville's team. Bolivia descended into crisis under Goni's rule, and he was ultimately forced to resign.
