Plot – What's the story about?

Plot: In this tale, a serial killer seeks the assistance of a lobbyist to change laws that would make it simpler for him to avoid punishment for his crimes. Meanwhile, a retired police officer refuses to give up on solving the murders. The killer endeavors to stop the retired officer from pursuing the case, now that he is no longer an active member of the force. As a result of his crimes, the serial killer becomes a celebrated figure in the public eye.
