Disney is certainly aiming for a family-friendly PG rating by the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA). Dwayne Johnson's previous Disney films such The Game Plan (2007) and Race to Witch Mountain (2009) were both rated PG.

As Johnson explained on Instagram (04/04/2020), "I feel great and bullish about this date as it gives us time for Disney to be fully operational in all their businesses—theme parks, hotels, cruise ships, but more importantly, it gives the world time to bounce back to living confidently, productively and joyously once again.
