Plot

The film begins after an epic battle that left a great city torn, but with the world saved. As humanity picks up the pieces, a shadowy group reveals itself in an attempt to control the direction of history… while an ancient, powerful new menace sets Earth in its crosshairs. • Peter Cullen is known throughout the world as the voice of the leader of the Autobots, Optimus Prime, on the popular 1980s cartoon series "The Transformers" and in Michael Bay's Transformers film franchise. Additionally, he has voiced the robots Ironhide, Slugslinger, Streetwise, Wingspan and Nightstick.
• Michael Bay's first Transformers film was a box office sensation in 2007, opening at #1 and earning more than $700 million worldwide. His second installment Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen in 2009 grossed more than $830 million worldwide. In 2011, Transformers: Dark of the Moon was an even bigger hit worldwide, grossing more than a billion dollars to become the 5th highest grossing film of all time. To date, the franchise has earned more than $2.6 billion worldwide.
• Shia LaBeouf will not return for this film (Variety, 10-17-11). The fourth and fifth installments could be headed into production back-to-back (Variety, 10-17-11).
