And they ask him to tell his story, the one he wrote, rather than their common bedtime story. And he’s sauced after playin’ with ‘em all night, so he tells them the story “The Good King” and the whole film is a flashback to 1500s about this king and his friend, the Duke, that virtually do nothing but womanize and booze and discover everything debaucherous that we enjoy in the 20th century, way back in the day. And they’re like huge freaking rock stars."
