Plot – What's the story about?

Plot: Set in the early 1900's during the birth of jazz, Charles "Buddy" Bolden, an African American cornetist, is a key figure in the development of a New Orleans style of rag-time music which becomes known as jazz. "King Bolden" and his band are a top draw in New Orleans from about 1900 until 1907, when he is incapacitated by schizophrenia. He is admitted to a mental institution where he spends the rest of his life.
