In recent weeks, former star David Duchovny has said the second film is moving forward and that an announcement may come soon. His co-star, Gillian Anderson, has expressed interest in returning to her role as FBI agent Dana Scully, alongside Duchovny's Mulder (05/13/07). Production will start December 10th on the sequel (11/01/07). Although character details are being closely guarded, it is believed that Xzibit and Peet will be playing FBI Agents alongside David Duchovny's Mulder and Gillian Anderson's Scully (12/06/07).
