What's the story about?

Plot: Set in Chicago, the world only recently discovered that magic is real. Sloane Andrews, one of the "Famous Five," as a teen defeated a villain known as the Dark One more than a decade earlier. Now, in adulthood, Sloane grapples with PTSD, fractured relationships, rabid media scrutiny and, worst of all, the prospect that their mission might not be finished yet after all. On the tenth anniversary of the Dark One's defeat, something unthinkable happens: one of the Chosen Ones dies. When the others gather for the funeral, they discover the Dark One's ultimate goal was much bigger than they, the government, or even prophecy could have foretold—bigger than the world itself.
