A look at The Monkey King behind-the-scenes crew and production team. The film's director Anthony Stacchi last helmed The Boxtrolls and Open Season. The film's writer Ron Friedman last penned Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore and Gullible's Travels.

Screenwriters Ron Friedman and Steve Bencich's animated film credits include Brother Bear and Chicken Little (6/14/18).
