Waiting for Anyawas was shot on location in the Pyrenees (a range of mountains forming a natural border between Spain and France). Shooting took place over five-weeks in early spring 2018 near the Béarnais French commune called Accous (Nouvelle-Aquitaine region in southwestern France). As director Ben Cookson explained to ScreenDaily (5/18/2018), “It’s not just set in France, it’s set in a place that actually exists." Link
