Plot – What's the story about?

Plot: In the late 1890s in Fall River, Massachusetts, Lizzie Borden is acquitted of murdering her overbearing father and step-mother with a hatchet, but she is publicly condemned. Bridget Sullivan, the Bordens’ live-in maid testifies at the trial that she was home when the murders were committed.
