• This is said to be the long-talked-about sequel to the J.J. Abrams-produced 2008 film Cloverfield. Having said that, this is not a direct sequel more of a spin-off, but the film is set in the same universe. As J.J. Abrams told Collider (1/15/16), "The idea came up a long time ago during production. We wanted to make it a blood relative of 'Cloverfield'. The idea was developed over time. We wanted to hold back the title for as long as possible.”
