Plot – What's the story about?

Plot: Set in first-century Palestine, an age awash in apocalyptic fervor, an itinerant Jewish preacher and miracle worker Jesus of Nazareth walks across the Galilee, gathering followers to establish what he calls the "Kingdom of God." The revolutionary movement he launches is so threatening to the established order that he is captured, tortured, and executed as a state criminal.
