Plot – What's the story about?

Plot: Louise Smith, a fiery, handful-of-a-woman, leads a motley crew of barnstormers and former bootleggers as they criss-cross the country to raise interest in a fledgling professional racing tour – at the behest of Florida businessman and former driver Bill France Sr. Smith is the quintessential small-town girl with big dreams who smashes through the gender preconceptions of the time to ultimately race at the famed Daytona Beach road course and helps France secure the initial funding for what becomes the billion-dollar sports giant NASCAR.
