What's the story about?

Inspired by the incredible events surrounding an attempt to reach the summit of the world’s highest mountain, Everest documents the awe-inspiring journey of two different expeditions challenged beyond their limits by one of the fiercest snowstorms ever encountered by mankind. While establishing shots will be taken in Nepal, they will film most of it in Baltasar Kormakur's native Iceland, the glaciers there are a facsimile of Everest. Nobody wants to be in Iceland during the winter (The Wrap, 2/19/13).
