Set years after a superflu virus has taken most of mankind off the map, a man lives in the hangar of an abandoned airport with his dog. He spends his days flying the perimeter in his Cessna, looking out for intruders and thinking about the things he’s lost—his deceased wife and the nearly extinct trout he loved to fish. When a distant radio transmission sparks in him the realization that something better might be out there, the man sets out and discover that things are both better and worse out there.
