The story follows young Clara, who receives a nutcracker doll from her godfather on Christmas Eve. When the girl goes to check on it later that night, the clock strikes 12 and she finds herself thrust into a fantastical world in which a war rages between gingerbread soldiers and an army of mice.

A remake of Dario Argento's horror film "Suspiria." In Argento's 1977 original, a young American dancer travels to Europe to join a famous ballet school. Meanwhile, the young American is trying to settle in at the ballet school, but hears strange noises and is troubled by bizarre occurrences. She eventually discovers that the school is merely a front for a much more sinister organization.
