The story of teenager James Burns (played by Spencer Lofranco) who goes from the suburban street gangs to a maximum-security prison cell surrounded by hardened criminals. In prison, he forms a friendship with a convicted murderer (Ving Rhames) who becomes his mentor and helps him turn his life around. In this unlikely setting, James ultimately emerges with hope and a brighter future.

Fifteen year old Adam McCormick's life hasn't been the same since classmate Gracie Highsmith found Jamie Marks dead body at the edge of the river. The town is shocked by the news, but as speculation swirls, it becomes clear that they knew as little about Jamie as they do about the circumstances surrounding his death. Adam becomes fixated on Jamie's death and gradually a deep bond develops between the living teenager and the dead boy's ghost. Their unlikely friendship provides Adam with the support and friendship he needs as the rest of the world falls apart. For two years, Jodo and his team of "spiritual warriors" worked night and day on the massive task of creating the fabulous world of DUNE: over 3,000 storyboards, numerous paintings, incredible costumes, and an outrageous, moving and powerful script.

Ex-con, Joe Ransom, drinks heavily, outruns police and gambles away his money. He is the unlikeliest of role models to everyone except 15 year old Gary Jones, the oldest child of a homeless family run by an drunk, worthless father. Joe takes Gary under his wing seeing much of himself in the kid. Together they try to find a path to redemption and the hope for a better life in the rugged, gritty world of small town Mississippi.

Follows Jimmy Picard (Benicio Del Toro), a Blackfoot Indian, who returns from World War II with a mysterious illness and requires the help of psychoanalyst George Devereux (Matthieu Amalric).
