On the night of an eclipse, a star breaks the sky and falls to earth. Aisling, (Alexandra Dowling) a young woman burdened by loss, stumbles upon its living light — a fragile radiance that seems to breathe, to respond, to remember. Word of the phenomenon spreads, drawing the attention of ruthless men. Aisling flees through a sleeping city, finding unlikely allies: Raphael (John Rhys Davies), a grief-scarred elder whose faith has dimmed, and Joshua (Diego Boneta), a quiet stranger whose bravery comes is more than heroic. Step Sisters centers on an ambitious black sorority girl (Megalyn Echikunwoke) who, in order to get admitted to the law school of her dreams, agrees to cross cultural lines and teach the exclusive art of black Greek stepping to a band of wild, party-obsessed white sorority girls whose charter is about to be revoked.

Written and directed by John Cameron Mitchell, "Shortbus" explores the lives of several characters living in present-day New York as they navigate the comic and tragic intersections between love and sex. Male and female, straight and gay, the characters find one and other -- and eventually find themselves -- when they all converge at a weekly underground salon called "Shortbus," a mad nexus of art, music, politics, and polysexual carnality.

Follows Jamie Foxx as undercover Las Vegas police officer Vincent Downs, who is caught in a high stakes web of corrupt cops and the mob-controlled casino underground. When a heist goes wrong, a crew of homicidal gangsters kidnaps Downs’ teenage son. In one sleepless night he will have to rescue his son, evade an internal affairs investigation and bring the kidnappers to justice.

Demonstrating that life is what happens while you’re busy planning your future, Carson recounts the last few weeks of his life via witty, insightful flashbacks, including a blackmail scheme targeting the popular kids in school that he concocts with his best friend (Rebel Wilson) and a home life that includes a mother (Allison Janneywho’s more interested in the bottle than her son’s future and an estranged father (Dermot Mulroney) who suddenly appears with a pregnant fiancée (Christina Hendricks).

"Super Sucker" is a hilarious comedy about rival door-to-door vacuum cleaner sales teams. In addition to writing and directing, Jeff Daniels, once again, the underdog heads up his team of misfits as Fred Barlow. Barlow meets Howard Butterworth, played by fellow Michigan native and Purple Rose Theatre (a repertory theatre founded by Daniels) alumnus Matt Letscher ('Good Morning Miami'). The two, with the help of Purple Rose Theatre veterans Leonard (Guy Sanville), Rhonda (Sandra Birch), Shelby (John Seibert) and Darlene (Kate Peckham) team up against Barlow's cross-town rival, and nemesis, Winslow Schnaebelt. Schnaebelt, played by Harve Presnell is the razzle-dazzle red-suited competitor who will do anything to undermine Barlow. Barlow and Schnaebelt battle for territory and survival in a ‘winner takes all' contest.

Successful Hollywood agent Bryce Dixon is returning to Alabama for the first time in 15 years for his high school reunion. When he learns he's the only one of his friends who isn't married with children, he convinces his client, starlet Madison Belle, to pretend to be his girlfriend. Surge's nemesis, the Metal Master, is out of jail and trying to reconcile with his estranged parents and tempted to continue a life of crime by Augur, archnemesis of the wise Omen. When their seemingly genius plan to create a breeding center for Saint Bernard dogs doesn’t develop as expected, their desperation drives them off course. A hilarious mockumentary about misguided ambition and an unlikely friendship forming in adversity.

After a run of bad luck, John, a compulsive gambler, runs away from Las Vegas and toward a normal job and life. Taking a nondescript position in an auto insurance company in Albuquerque, he tries to get ahead in the straight world, amid the ever-present temptations of scratch-off lotto tickets. When his boss, Mr. Townsend, asks John to accompany his top fraud debunker, Virgil on an investigation of a dubious car "accident" near Vegas, John sees an opportunity to get a promotion, although he's concerned about returning to the gambling game. Before leaving he becomes involved with his eccentric co-worker Jill, a dalliance that has the potential to become a real relationship. Soon John is on the road with Virgil. While Virgil is the supposed leader of the investigation, it's John who begins to finally assert himself, pushing the case closer to a conclusion. Through the journey, John's confidence builds, and he realizes that he can't escape his gambling addiction by running away from it -- it will follow him wherever he goes. It's only when he returns to Vegas that his experiences there finally send him on the path to breaking free.
