A small-town doctor (Bargatze) finds himself with a unique bounty on his head just a week before Christmas.
The film follows a young girl, Dáyami, living in a Mexican border town who tries to send her Christmas list to Santa tied to a balloon. The balloon is found by Randy and Marcella Heiss, a couple in Arizona grieving the loss of their own child, who make it their mission to fulfill the girl’s touching Christmas wishes.
Set on Christmas Eve, a group of ornaments, tired of being stuck in storage all year, devise an escape plan to the North Pole where it will be Christmas forever.
The story is centered on a detective who's transferring a fugitive when weather interferes and forces him to bring the prisoner home to his small town for the holidays.
