Signing Tony Raymond tells the story of a college football coach who is sent to rural Alabama to try signing the nation’s top high school defensive end and soon finds himself in the middle of comical misadventures, trying to outflank rival recruiters, fight off grifting townsfolk and win over the player’s wildly dysfunctional family.

Follows Stan Jacobs, (Benfield) an alcoholic pro football head coach, from the peak of his coaching career to rock bottom and living on the streets. Having lost everything, Stan is given a second chance when he is recruited to become head coach of a High School football team, but will he choose to turn his life around, or continue to live at the bottom of a bottle?
