It's not easy being green, especially when you're the cranky, cantankerous Grinch. Brooding alone in the cave he calls home with only his dog Max, the reclusive Grinch wiles away his days ruminating on the horrible hatred he feels for the Whos down in the neighboring burg of Whoville. With their annual holiday festivities approaching, the Grinch hatches a vengeful plot to ruin the fun and purloin all the trappings that make Christmas so special. But he meets a surprising match in brave little Cindy Lou Who (played by Taylor Momsen), a tiny girl whose kindness and generosity of spirit just might help The Grinch begin to appreciate the beauty of the season.

A comedy that follows two fallen angels, Bartleby (Ben Affleck) and Loki (Matt Damon), who discover a loophole that would allow them to return to Heaven, which would inadvertently undo the creation of the universe. A woman named Bethany, who is struggling with her faith, is tasked with stopping them before their plan succeeds. Along the way, she is joined by various characters, including a muse, a seraphim, and a group of unlikely allies, all as they battle against the forces of heaven and hell. Directed by Kevin Smith, the film combines dark humor, theological questions, and absurdity to explore topics of faith, redemption, and religious mythology.

At the dawn of the 20th century, a multigenerational family in the Gullah community in the Sea Islands off of South Carolina -- former West African slaves who adopted many of their ancestors' Yoruba traditions -- suffers a generational split. An older group of sisters return after migrating north to New York with intentions of bringing the rest of their family back across the water to the mainland with them. But, tensions arrive when the newly Americanized sisters view their homeland’s way of living as backwards, all while Nana, the family elder who embodies the traditions and folklore of their African roots, is struggling to keep the family together and to pass on the knowledge of their ancestors.
