Based on Washington Post columnist David Ignatius' 2007 novel about a CIA operative, Roger Ferris (Leonardo DiCaprio), who uncovers a lead on a major terrorist leader suspected to be operating out of Jordan. When Ferris devises a plan to infiltrate his network, he must first win the backing of cunning CIA veteran Ed Hoffman (Russell Crowe) and the collegial, but perhaps suspect, head of Jordanian intelligence. Although ostensibly his allies, Ferris questions how far he can really trust these men without putting his entire operation – and his life – on the line.

The film chronicles the murder of former Beatle John Lennon. Jaried Leto will play Lennon's murderer Mark Chapman, while Lindsay Lohan will play a devoted Lennon fan who befriends Chapman on the weekend in 1980 when he kills the former Beatle.

The movie centers on a girl (AnnaSophia Robb) who forms a bond with her uncle (Nick Stahl) after she is abandoned by her mother, portrayed by Charlize Theron.

"Smart People" is the darkly comic story of Lawrence Wetherhold, a widowed and unhappy English professor played by Dennis Quaid, who has alienated his son and turned his daughter into an overachieving, friendless teen. He falls for Janet (Sarah Jessica Parker), one of his former students, while at the same time his ne'er-do-well brother (Thomas Haden Church) shows up at his door unexpectedly, triggering a series of comic crises and eventually growth in the family as they learn to reconnect.

Adapted from the novel by Stewart O'Nan, the story interweaves the life of a teenager, Arthur, with his onetime baby sitter Annie (Emily Mortimer), who is struggling with a young daughter and her estranged husband, Glenn (Sam Rockwell).

The story, set in 1957, concerns a small-town charmer (Jason Patric) who is forced to make difficult decisions in his fight to save his two daughters. Drea de Matteo will play his ex-wife. KaDee Strickland plays Patric's love interest, Bruce Dern his surrogate father and Shepard an opportunistic hustler.
