When an eccentric female artist (Diane Keaton) in New York City is faced with eviction from her home of 40 years by a powerful developer (Andy Garcia)who wants to demolish her building, she forges two unlikely alliances; one with the developer’s son, Max, (Josh Hutcherson), who was supposed to be in charge of her eviction but instead becomes her friend and advocate; and the other with an ambitious female TV reporter who creates a media event out of it.
