Set in West Belfast in 1981, Mum Ciara struggles to keep three unruly teenagers on the straight and narrow while her feckless husband serves time for stealing a milk van. With violence on the streets and hunger strikes dominating the headlines, family has never been so important.
Follows an isolated family, which has already lost four members to poisoning, that uses rituals and talismans to keep itself away from hostile townspeople. A distant cousin comes back with the intent on maliciously securing the family’s fortune and whose arrival sets in motion the uncovering of family secrets.
