Set in 1939, the British are being pounded by Germany in mainland Europe, and Winston Churchill wants to hit back hard. His answer: stop fighting under accepted gentlemanly rules of engagement, and create a group of warriors who become the first "deniable" secret operatives to strike behind enemy lines. They are basically Britian’s first black op unit. Members are recruited, knowing they are likely to be killed. They become a very tight knit group and their work spans WWII. They win important victories against the Nazis, breaking all the accepted rules of warfare in the process and use deception and even the bow and arrow to dispatch the enemy.

Crime boss and casino owner, Dorothy Macha is sitting in on the game, too. Though he's a terrible player he always wins because people are scared to lose to him. Jake not only beats Dorothy but insults the man. Macha puts out a hit on Jake, but Jake ends up working for and being protected by a pair of brothers, Avi and Zack, who are out to take Dorothy down.
The logline is being kept under wraps, although it is known Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey Jr.), and his longtime trusted associate, Dr. Watson (Jude Law), will face off against Moriarty (Jared Harris). Also making an appearance will be Holmes' brother, Mycroft. Noomi Rapace's role is shrouded in mystery although sources say the character may be a French Gypsy. It is unclear if the role is romantic in nature.
