BRAZIL, 1971 - Brazil faces the tightening grip of a military dictatorship. The film is based on Marcelo Rubens Paiva's biographical book and tells the true story that helped reconstruct an important part of Brazil’s hidden history.

In 1908, Eighth grader Alma Richards quits school. He doesn't see the point in going when he could be working as a ranch hand.
